How amazing are these retro/industrial light fixtures! The artists at Apparatus Studio are undoubtedly talented. Walking into the Apparatus Studio I was in complete awe. The feeling when arriving in the raw space will defiantly be unforgettable. The lighting fixtures are truly pieces of art and are a must see in the design world. We all know the Kardashians can be annoying... we love to hate them.  I think I am partial to Kourtney because she loves design, but she has proven her taste is pretty posh. Above are photos of her home that were just released in InStyle Magazine. Check out all the custom design work. I love how she used SOOO much black and mixed bold patterns (wall covering + custom roman shades). I want to take her living room, scale it down, and place it in my apartment! I needed my electic fix and this was it.

I am working on designing an apartment, and I am loving the idea of having a bold velvet sofa in living room.  As we all know NYC apartments are extremely tiny so it is all about the statement piece. Who doesn't want to relax on a plush velvet sofa? With a piece like this, I plan to keep the surroundings minimal. White walls will really make a sofa like this pop!

Getting pretty excited about our ski trip to Vermont for the New Year. I couldn't help but look at cozy cottages to get in the winter spirit. Above is my favorite snow bunny gear that are musts when packing for our trip. Even with a high of -1º these simple pieces are going to get the job done. I highely reccommend the Short-Carly Sorel boot. They aren't your average duck foot snow boot... they keep you dry and have a nice feminine look.  Have a fun and safe New Year
